Ian’s blog about his life in the army

Ian’s blog about his life in the army (Updating continuously) - via hitshows
1. Private Gallagher  on Jan.8th
I finally feel like myself…’cept for the fact everyone here thinks I’m Lip. Luckily, I didn’t have to chain smoke and bang a bunch of psycho chicks to fit the part. Just needed a solid fake I.D. that would get me into strip clubs, sketchy liquor stores and Army Basic Training. (...)
2. Wish You Were Here on Jan.13th
I’m starting to understand what my bunkmates mean about feeling ‘homesick’.
I didn’t think I could miss a place that’s brimming with dried puke and piss (thanks Frank), but I guess when you live in a world where Lip can actually go to college, anything’s possible.
I miss Debbie’s lasagna, Liam’s bear hugs, and the occasional kick in the nuts from Carl (it kept me on my toes). And I could even go for one of Fiona’s wake up calls, which are a lot nicer than my drill sergeant’s. Well, barely.

JMID New Stills!

(thanks to mapofeighteen)

"Easily the most recognizable of American festivals, it’s exciting that the 2014 edition of Sundance is so genre-heavy.  There’s of course the highly anticipated midnight section, but beyond that is a selection of several bits of horror scattered through the likes of NEXT, Premieres and, in the case of the below film, the U.S. Dramatic Competition. FANGORIA Presents an exclusive look at JAMIE MARKS IS DEAD, a brand new horror film rooted in the experience of youth from THE RUINS director Carter Smith.
Based on the novel ONE FOR SORROW by Christopher Barzak, JAMIE MARKS IS DEAD is described as a love story, infused with elements of horror and the supernatural. In a wintry small town, the body of a teenager named Jamie Marks is found by the river. Adam, the star of his cross-country team, becomes fascinated with Jamie—a boy nobody really knew or interacted with, except occasionally to bully him. When Jamie’s ghost begins to appear both to Adam and Gracie, the classmate who discovered the body, Adam is caught between two worlds. He has a budding romance with Gracie, but he also feels a deep connection to Jamie, who brings him closer to the world of the undead.Directed by Smith (his first since the underrated THE RUINS), JAMIE MARKS IS DEAD stars Liv Tyler, Judy Greer, SHAMELESS’ Cameron Monagahan, Morgan Saylor and Noah Silver.  The film is produced by, among others, Jacob Jaffke, who’s previously helped usher in Ti West’s THE INNKEEPERS and THE SACRAMENT, as well as last year’s excellent vampire film KISS OF THE DAMNED.
Jaffke tells Fango, “It’s a supernatural teenage drama that does a superb job of satisfying fans of both genres. It delivers on some freaky and downright unnerving sequences while at the same time is elegantly portraying the lives of these misfit teenagers (one of whom is actually dead) that are searching for that elusive sense of ‘belonging’ that consumes so many of us in our adolescence.  It’s a melancholic, somber and beautiful film peppered with scares and surprises. I can’t wait to see how audiences react next week at Sundance.”
JAMIE MARKS IS DEAD makes its world premiere Sunday, January 19 at 8:30pm at the Library Center Theatre in Park City, Utah. For much more on the film and Sundance at large, keep an eye on Fango."

Update for #JMID

Few hours ago I've asked Cameron how will we be able to see Jamie Marks is Dead after it premieres at the Sundance Film Festival (on January 19) and he told me that a distribution company has to buy it (after the festival) and distribute it in theaters! let's hope someone will, but I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen as everyone's already talking about it!

Ian comes back changed.

here's what Emmy Rossum (who plays Fiona, Ian's sister on Shameless) said about Ian Gallagher coming back and how much he has changed.

TVLINE | And Ian enlisted at the end of last season. Does that mean we won’t be seeing him?"No, he’s back. He’s just back later in the season. That’s a fascinating arc because he’s been away for a couple of episodes, and the changes that have happened in him are pretty drastic." (source)
we already know, as Emmy said, that he will come back and act like his mother, Monica.
